threatening and leaders need to find possible ways to avert the situation.
“We ventured into skilling the Youths in green jobs so an alternative to the rate of
joblessness among the Youth. This was possible because of the funding we secured from
Enabel,” he explained.
The Project coordinator Chris Agaba noted that the skilling the Youth reduces an
employment and poverty.
“Many young people struggle to find jobs due to a lack of relevant skills, so providing
technical, vocational, and entrepreneurial skills helps them create their own jobs or become
more employable,” he explained.
He added that youth skilling boosts economic growth since a skilled work force increases
productivity and innovation
Youth skilling encourages entrepreneurship and innovation. Skills in business, technology,
and finance help young people start and grow their own businesses.
According to Muganzi, youth skilling reduces on crime and social problems
“Lack of opportunities can push young people into crime, drug abuse, or risky behaviours,
equipping them with skills provides positive alternatives and a sense of purpose,” he noted.
He also noted that the changing job market requires the Youth to have a skill that would
help them to adapt.
“The world is rapidly changing with technology and automation. Digital skills, problem-
solving, and adaptability are key to staying relevant in the job market.
